"A Question of Acceptability Pt 3"

There is an unacceptable way to speak of the Lord our God and an acceptable way to speak. Today Malachi preaches words unacceptable to the People because they will Winnow away the chaff of Israel leaving only the believing seed of Abraham.

There is an unacceptable way to speak of the Lord our God and an acceptable way to speak. Malachi corrects Israels unacceptable speaking which serves to correct us as well lest our speech become unacceptable to our Lord as well.

Divorce covers one's garment with violence, says Malachi. Therefore, Malachi uncovers the gory remnants of the violence of divorce. He exposes the Excuses for, the Treachery of and the Violence of Divorce so that we will embrace the Glory of marriage and avoid divorce.

Malachi's collective rebuke of the errant priesthood labels them Corrected, Corrupted, and Contemptable. These three labels sends a message forward to our day so that we may avoid being party to corrupt church leaders in our own time.

Gabriel imparts his final explanation to the virgin Mary's question; "How can this be"? In the face of an Impossible Proclamation - that she would be with child yet having known no man so that Mary will understand that "with God nothing will be impossible"!
