"Turn"

Malachi pronounces a Final Call to Israel to "Turn" to the Lord their God. In this passage he presents Four Compelling Reasons to Turn so that He may bless them and nut curse them. 

 

    Malachi 4:4-6  

"Any Questions?"

Malachi Proclaims the final loving call of the Lord of Hosts before His 400-year silent period. He announces, "The Day" / "The Day of the Lord" as both a loving warning and a welcoming invitation to "fear His Name". Three Prophetic Pictures are painted forecasting the future so that when God asks, "Any Questions?" they will respond with Silent Obedience and be blessed.

   Malachi 3:13-18 

"A Question of Poverty"

God presents Three Remedies to Israel's Complaints of Poverty so that if, they take their Medicine, they will be restored to Prosperity.

"And It Happened"

There was a First Easter Sunday and it happened just as the Bible says it did. Today Luke provides Three "happenings" that still directly affect what we do each and every Sunday morning at Church. 

Luke 24:1-12

"Though He was Rich"

God does not "Compel" His people to make offerings or to give to the Church. He Inspires our Giving through the Grace of Christ Jesus. In II Corinthians 8:9 Paul inspires us to give by showing us the wealth, the poverty and the purpose with which Jesus willingly Gave for our sakes.

 

    II Corinthians 8:9  

 

"A Question of Fiduciary; "Can you be trusted with what the Lord Provides" "

Israel could not be trusted with the Lord their God had entrusted to their stewardship. In short, they were very poor Fiduciary. Malachi presents the people with three facts that prove they have stolen from God. He then presents a final choice - Restore what you Stole, and God will Restore your Blessing so that we all may decide what to do with what God entrusted to us as well. 

VI. A Question of Fiduciary:

    Malachi 3:8-12

"A Question of Individuality; "Temperature Tests of a Cold Heart" "

The people of Israel during Malachi's ministry time thought themselves near unto God but were actually far from Him and their hearts had grown cold to His call to return. This text gives us three temperature tests of a cold spiritual heart so that we might test the temperature of our own hearts to determine if we desire to draw near unto Christ or have become Cold.

"A Question of Acceptability Pt 3"

There is an unacceptable way to speak of the Lord our God and an acceptable way to speak. Today Malachi preaches words unacceptable to the People because they will Winnow away the chaff of Israel leaving only the believing seed of Abraham.

There is an unacceptable way to speak of the Lord our God and an acceptable way to speak. Malachi corrects Israels unacceptable speaking which serves to correct us as well lest our speech become unacceptable to our Lord as well.
