Hebrews 7:4-10 gives us Three Proofs that Melchizedek is Greater than
Father Abraham so the Hebrews along with us may accept his
Superior ministry and find greater hope for our future under Christ’s
High Priestly ministry.

Understanding Our New High Priest Pt 2

The High Priestly Order of Melchizedek is superior to the Aaronic /
Levitical priesthood. Hebrews 7:1-3 provides Five Descriptions of the
priestly order of Melchizedek as a “type” of Christ that mark his
ministry as superior to those of Aaron. Next, Hebrews 7:4-10 gives us
Three Proofs that Melchizedek is Greater that Father Abraham so that
the Hebrews along with us may accept his Superior ministry and find

The Writer of Hebrews presents three specific lists of “things which accompany salvation” (6:9) under the headings of: Unflagging Diligence, Unchangeable Confidence, and Unmovable Reliance.  Unchangeable Reliance as a evidence of salvation is presented in verses 19-20  That each believer may make a mature accounting of their chronicle with Christ and so find Assurance, so find Hope as an anchor for the soul.

Unlike the hopeless who have fallen away from Christ of whom is said "it is impossible to restore them to repentance" there is Great Hope for those persevering in faith towards Christ Jesus our Great High Priest. The Writer of Hebrews Gives us A mature accounting of Christian Assurance so that each believer might measure himself against these and so find Hope as an anchor for the soul.--Hebrews 6:7-12

Hopelessness – Four Features of an Immature Faith that result in a Hopeless Condition – the State of hopelessness where it is impossible to renew them again to Repentance!  The hopeless face of unbelief that pretends faith yet has none!--Hebrews 6:6-8
