Redeeming the Blessings of Family - Ruth 4:11-21

Boaz and Ruth have behaved righteously and virtuously before God and the townsmen of Bethlehem. They both have honored what God honors by doing His will and obeying His law. In this Boaz has Redeemed the Blessings of Family that were lost through Elimelech’s failures. In this final passage we are presented with Ten Blessings of Family Redeemed by God’s grace so that we may follow Boaz and Ruth in Obeying God’s plan for our families and look to the blessings He delivers when we simply obey. -- Ruth 4:11-21

Pt. 2 Boaz Redeems Ruth -- Ruth 4:1-10

Boaz demonstrates the Character of a Righteous man who shoulders the responsibility of a Kinsman Redeemer. In doing so he becomes an example of faithful obedience that God rewards with blessings. Moreover, the redemption of Ruth by Boaz becomes a foreshadow of the perfect Kinsman Redeemer, Jesus Christ so that we may be as thankful to God for Jesus as Ruth was for Boaz. --Ruth 4:1-10

Pt 1. Boaz Redeems Ruth--Ruth 4:1-10

Offering Up Spiritual Sacrifices 1 Peter 2-5

How to live sacrificially no matter the circumstances of our lives.

Peter presents Six Spiritual Sacrifices to be offered up to God so that we may follow his instructions in any and all situations into which God places us in this life. These sacrifices will prove pleasing to God and will perfect us in Christ (5:10)  even under severe sufferings!

Ruth’s Road to Rest and Redemption -- Ruth 3:1-18

The Law of Moses is behind the actions of our characters as they follow its prescription for the kinsman redeemer. We remember that this portion of the law prefigured the final kinsman redeemer and was designed to train Israel to be ready to recognize Him when He Came in the future - Jesus Christ. Our text pictures Five landmarks on Ruth’s Road to Rest and Redemption that serve as post cards for any who would follow after her example as she finds the physical, earthly redemption through Boaz and looks forward to the ultimate Rest and Redemption realized in Christ our Redeemer and King.

Common Communication Ruth 2:17-23

Ruth and Naomi talk about what Ruth had been doing while gleaning, who she happened to meet along the way and what conversations she had during the day. However Common their Communication, yet it provides us with Four examples of how to balance the sovereign actions of God with our personal plans and actions so that we might Communicate an Uncommon testimony of Regenerate Faith in God our Savior. --Ruth 2:17-23

Pt. 2 "Finding Favor" Ruth 2:8-16

Ruth seeks to Find Favor among those who own the fields in which she goes to glean. Ruth will Find Favor / Grace, through the Righteous hand of Boaz. We learn along with Naomi and Ruth the Varied Facets of God’s Favor displayed by Boaz so that we will come to trust in the Faithful Provision of God and rest under the Shelter of His wings. Ruth 2:8-16

Pt. 1 "Finding Favor" Ruth 1:19-2:16

Naomi feels bereft of Gods favor, yet through Ruth, who is seeking to find favor with someone among the Israelites of Bethlehem, Naomi will find favor as will Ruth. This passage describes Ruth seeking favor so that we will know how to seek and find favor both from man and God. Ruth 1:19-2:16

Pt.2 "No Turning Back" Ruth 1:6-18

The book of Ruth begins by exposing how the tragedies of life got the
full attention of Elimelech and tempted him to make unwise decisions
that caused more tragic outcomes. This providential book begins thus
so that we may realize that the tragedies of life tend to get our full
attention and if not put in proper perspective can cause us to make
unwise decisions and put ourselves and our families in jeopardy of
judgment and weaken the covenant people of God.
