Turning Away; How Tragedy Gets Our Full Attention Ruth 1:1-6

The book of Ruth begins by exposing how the tragedies of life got the full attention of Elimelech and tempted him to make unwise decisions that caused more tragic outcomes.

This providential book begins thus so that we may realize that the tragedies of life tend to get our full attention and if not put in proper perspective can cause us to make unwise decisions and put ourselves and our families in jeopardy of judgment and weaken the covenant people of God.   Ruth 1:1-6

Paul’s Best Final Requests I Thessalonians 5:25-28

Paul gives Four Directives to the Thessalonians Imploring them to Join He, Silas and Timothy in Ministry to the Lord Jesus. So that they may learn that “Shared ministry is the best ministry!” I Thessalonians 5:25-28

Paul outlines three Final Exhortations from our eternal architect so that the Local church we are building will stand the test of time and pressure and remain as a testimony of His Work through Us. I Thessalonians 5:19

Three expectations come our way as Paul to the Thessalonian church family proclaims three hidden features of Christian living that are supernatural and essential for smoothing out the rough places in life that they and we experience--persecutions from outside the church and friction within the church.
